Mrs. Harriet McCool

Harriet Lynn McCool, 75 passed away Monday, October 7, 2013. She was known best as Lynn or "Little" Lynn born in Joplin, Missouri on August 4, 1938 to Fred P. and Agnes M. Hughes. Lynn was happily married to Lin ("Big" Lin) for 53 years, he always referred to her as his "Sweetie Pie" and she was the love of his life. She is preceded in death by her husband in 2011 and her brother Thomas Hughes in 2000.

Lynn worked at the Hallmark Card for 5 years in her earlier years. She was excellent at cross stitching, knitting, cooking and being a homemaker. She loved spending time with family and a good time was always had by all. They traveled, Spain, Alaska, and Hawaii and were known at Harrah's Casino in Kansas City.

She is survived by her sister Ella Hawkins and her husband Jim Hawkins, Aunts: Eveline Deresinski, Val Eggert, Gen Weiss, Mary Lengquist; cousins: Jennifer Alexandar, Karen Hughes, Kathy Hoskins, Yvonne Sparror, Doug Lengquist, Larry Lloyd, Nancy Bailey
nieces; Cheryl Wulff, Cynthia Hawkins, Charlotte Cross and Carol Slight, nephew Richard Hughes and several great nieces and nephews.

A reception will be held at Village Shalom, 5500 West 123rd Street, Overland Park, KS 66209, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2 pm.
