Helen Ferguson

Mrs. Helen Ferguson was born July 28, 1932 and died at her home on August 5, 2019. Helen was born to Clarence and Amy Hetzel in Homewood, Kansas. She attended schools in the Richmond, Kansas area, graduating from Richmond High School in 1950. Later that year, she married Donald L. Ferguson on September 17th.

Helen spent most of her life raising their three daughters. In her younger years, she and Donald enjoyed dancing, bowling, camping and boating at Lake Perry. Helen enjoyed antiquing, collecting teapots and plates, and needle work.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Amy Hetzel; her husband, Donald Ferguson; her sister, Laura Sutton; her brother, Doyle Hetzel; and her great-grandson, Jesse Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Roether) and husband Ed, Connie (Bailey), and Brenda (Miller) and husband Ron. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchild, and many other extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, August 9, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial to follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe.
