Helen L. Palm, 89, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 8, at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 1232 22nd St. N.W., Washington, D.C. 20037.
She was born on January 31, 1919 in Freeborn, Minnesota. She attended schools in Minnesota, but went to high school in Hobart, Oklahoma. After graduation she attended secretarial school in Minneapolis and then worked at the First National Bank in Fairmont, Minnesota. On January 21, 1944, she married Bill Palm and lived in Windom, Minnesota until 1976 when she moved to Overland Park, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her sister Virginia Starr.
Survivors include her sons, Dave Palm (Alice) of Lincoln, Nebraska; Greg Palm (Kathy) of Bemidji, Minnesota; her granddaughter, Kristin Palm of Wausau, Wisconsin; and her sister Elaine Heintz of Overland Park, Kansas.
