Tuesday, September 16, 2008, Helyn "Macy" Falin joined the love of her life, her husband Jack, in Heaven.
Known as Aunt Macy to family and friends, she loved being around people, and everyone who knew her loved her. She was the best Mother, Wife, Aunt and Friend, whose whole life revolved around her family, for whom she would sacrifice anything.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Jack Freeman, five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her son Gerald Falin and her daughter Sharon "Kelli" Freeman, both of whom she loved more than life, granddaughter and husband Kelly and Dan Ferrara, great grandchildren Hannah and Shelby Ferrara, sister Frances Clark, many nieces and nephews and Cliff LeGate, to whom she referred to as a blessing in her life.
Visitation is Sunday, September 21, 4-6 p.m., funeral services are Monday, September 22, 11 a.m., both at Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel, with burial in their Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kan. Family and friends are invited to arrive at the chapel early either day to record a video message to Macy or the family. Following the service, a celebration of her life will be held at Benjamin Ranch, 87th Street and I-435, Kansas City, Mo., for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helyn M. Falin memorial, at the Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel.
