HOLLY MAE SLEGMAN
Holly Mae Franking Slegman was born on May 13, 1944 in Washington, DC and passed away on January 27, 2011. Holly graduated with a B.A. from Mount St. Mary’s in Los Angeles. She went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Education and a Ph.d. in English from the University of Kansas. Holly wrote a book called “My Chinese Marriage” which chronicled the life of her grandparents. She also co-founded with her husband John a company called Diskotech. Holly is survived by her loving husband John, her brother Michael Franking of Kansas City, her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Fern Franking. She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Nelson Franking.
Private family services will be held at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. Burial will be at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
