Inez A. Rouis, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at her home.
Born in Wolf Point, Montana, July 16, 1920 to Fred and Lydia Ahrens. She married Robert J. Rouis on November 27th, 1948. They had two children. Her husband passed away April 15, 1978.
Inez was a registered nurse, retiring in 1989. Following her retirement, she remained active in community service, volunteering at hospitals, a local nursing home and the Red Cross. She loved cross stitching, bowling, traveling and being with friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was truly a wonderful mother and a devoted caring friend. For those around her, she was mostly known as Grammy. She will always be loved and missed and remain in the hearts of the loved ones.
She leaves by her children Rex Rouis and his wife Debbie of Atlanta, GA, Renee Jalowiec and her husband Steve of Overland Park, KS and four grandchildren Sarah Downey, Erin Rouis, Ryan Jalowiec and Lydia Jalowiec; her siblings Edward Ahrens, Eileen Sethre, Eunice Phillips and Bill Ahrens. She was predeceased by a brother, Vernon Ahrens.
