Irene A. Witte, 91, passed away, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at her home, in Overland Park, KS.
Irene was born September 28, 1916 in Hudson, SD, the daughter of Ole and Alma C. (Wahl) Ekle. She married Ernest P. Witte on Feb. 7, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Sioux Valley School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Research Hospital from 1963-1975.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Doris and Verna. Survivors include her children; Karen Doudna (Bill) of Olathe, Richard Witte (Jan) of Florissant, CO, Cheryl Witte (Jessie Harris,Jr) of Tonganoxie, KS, her sisters, Lavonne Myrabo (Don) of Reno, NV, Lyda Tokle of Chandler, AZ, sister-in-law, Eunice Ries of Yankton, SD, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 PM, Saturday, June 21 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice whom the family wants to give a special thanks for their wonderful and loving care for Irene.
