Jack C. Meyers, Jr., passed away January 9, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 14, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. A visitation will begin an hour prior to the service, also in the chapel. Inurnment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Jack was born December 10, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA to J.C. and Georgia Paulson Meyers. He attended Westport High School and graduated from Olathe St. John's Sr. High School in 1940. He then went on to Kansas University. Jack was married to Dorothy Thompson in 1957. Jack became a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was attached to the Battalion who drew attack plans for D-Day. He was in the real estate business for 50 years and owned Jack Meyers Realtor where he was a Broker. He was a lifelong member and Lt. Governor of Optimist Clubs where he also formed 11 Clubs in Kansas. Jack was a member of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, National Association of Realtors, and National Association of Home Builders. Survivors include his wife, Dottie of Overland Park; children, Donald (Cindy) Meyers and Susan (Larry) Wills both of Stanton, VA, Michael Stroth of Sarasota, FL, and Dennis Stroth of Overland Park, KS; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
