Dr. James Chapman

James H. Chapman, MD, 85, of Overland Park, KS passed away on June 20, 2013 at Sunrise of Leawood of Leawood, KS. James was born on August 4, 1927 in Omaha, NE. He was a Radiologist and Fellow of the American College of Radiology. In addition to his career in radiology, James, was a Retired Naval Captain of over 40 years of service, and had been previously been employed by IBM. James participated in many clubs and organizations, including, Past Associate Supreme Guardian, International Order of Job's Daughters and served as area Blue and Gold officer for the US Naval Academy for many years. Some of his many passions in life were flying, travel, animals and his family.
James is survived by his loving wife, of 59 years, Lillian; three children, Candy, Michael and Jill; one granddaughter, Sarah and one great granddaughter, Stella.
A memorial service for James will be held Tuesday June 25 at 10:30AM at Village Presbyterian Church 6641 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
