James Corson

James Lee Corson of Lenexa, KS, 77, passed away Dec. 4, 2012. He was born Jan. 25, 1935 in Protection, KS, he grew up in Wichita, KS and graduated from Kansas State University in 1960. After graduation he married and raised his family in Pittsburgh, PA and Chicago, IL before returning to KS in 1979.
James loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved playing golf and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
James was preceded in death by his parents; Leonard "Buss" (Zelma) Corson; wife, Barbara Corson; sister; Janice Jo Anderson.
James is survived by his children, Michael (Amelia) Corson of Carol Stream, IL, Mark (Catherine) Corson of Jensen Beach, FL, Melanie (Michael) Falbe of Overland Park, KS and Martin (Diane) Corson of Stuart, FL; brother, Larry (Mary Jo) Corson; ten grand children and two great grand children, relatives and many friends.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday Dec. 8, 2012 at 10AM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will be on Friday Dec. 7, 2012 from 5-7PM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel.
