James “Jim” Koch, 78, of Leawood, KS, passed away April 28, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on June 9, 1936 in Oklahoma City, OK to Clara and Alfred Koch. He graduated in 1954, then continued on to serve in the Army for three years. He was a KC Zoo Docent and a member of the USCG Auxiliary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Clara Koch; and son, David Charles Koch.
Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice; daughter, Linda (Curt) Bonewits; grandchildren Carl (Bess), Amanda (Brandon); and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2PM-4PM Friday May 1st, 2015 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS.
