James Michael Morgan, 44, passed away on November 3, 2023 from a hemorrhagic stroke, in Lenexa, KS
Born in Westmoreland, Kansas, James was a beloved son, brother, colleague and friend.
James was a very intelligent yet humble man. He began his career in computer engineering working for his father at Morgan Consulting Group until Tom's death in 2003. He continued in his chosen career at Strategic One in Overland Park where he became known as a problem solver. He became a loyal employee of TreviPay in 2005 where he was a Principal Architect II for the A-Team. He made valuable contributions and built lasting relationships with his colleagues.
In his free time, James enjoyed reading of all kinds, cooking, board games and role-playing games. Through these hobbies, he made many friends with others who shared his passion.
James is survived by his mother, Dalene Morgan-Strieff, his brother, John Thomas Morgan and his step sisters, Sarah Strieff and Rachel (Ryan) Melyon. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Morgan, his grandparents, Henry and Mary Morgan, and Dale and Virginia Mustoe, his stepfather David Strieff, a cousin Sara, and his aunt, Marty Shank.
James will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May memories of him be a source of comfort and strength to all. He is in a better place, enjoying the complete experience of all he was created to be.

Arrangements will be handled by Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. 913-451-1860. Services will be on Monday, November 13th at 11am followed by a light lunch at noon. Please come prepared to share your stories of life with James.
