James W. Russell, Jr., 88, died January 19th, 2012
Memorial services will be at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel at 11:00 am Monday, January 23rd, with burial immediately afterwards.
Mr. Russell grew up in Ft. Leavenworth and lived most of his life in Overland Park. He served in the Navy for over 20 years, including the Pacific during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Marion. He is survived by his son Keith (Linda Wachsberg) of Overland Park, daughter Beth (David Whittaker), and grandchildren Sarah and James Whittaker of Lawrence.
