Dr. James Warn

Dr. James D. Warn passed away December 1st, 2011 in Overland Park, Kansas.
Dr. Warn was born October 30th, 1916 in Raywood, West Virginia. His parents were William H. Warn and Caroline Warn. He had three brothers and three sisters, all deceased except Sarah Warn Bajo, currently residing in San Diego, California with her many children.
In 1934, Dr. Warn graduated high school from Milan, Indiana and later attended college in Hanover, Indiana and the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
During World War II, he served in the Army, stationed early in Germany and later in Japan during reconstruction. Having completed officer's training at the onset, he served as Captain in the 95th Infantry Division. For this service, he was later inducted into the military OCS Hall of Fame in Fort Benning, Georgia (2000).
In 1954, he graduated from the Chicago Osteopathic School of Medicine, ranked first in graduating class.
He then moved to California and opened his office in Lakeside, California (San Diego County). He attended UCLA-Irvine to complete requirements to additionally practice as a licensed MD (1962).
In 1973, he moved to Missouri and opened an office in Goodman, Missouri.
Dr. Warn was a member of the VFW, American Legion in Neosho, Missouri; Masonic Lodge, Stella, Missouri; American Medical Society, Osteopathic Medical Society; and Shrine Abou Ben Adhem in Springfield, Missouri.
In addition to medical practice, he served in Goodman, Missouri as a Municipal Judge and then later became an ordained minister for Christ Ministries.
As Medical Director for the Ozark Tri-County clinic in Neosho, Missouri, he retired at the age of 88.
Dr. James D. Warn is survived by his loving family; his wife Virginia, married since June 10th, 1965, son Don Warn, daughter Pam Weaver with husband Rick, daughter Frances Blankinchip, and son Jamie Warn. Additional family members include nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Dr. Warn, physician, husband, father, and brother, was much loved and will be greatly missed by all.
