James F. Rood

James F. Rood passed away on April 19, 2021 at the age of 56.

Jim was born in 1965 in Melbourne, Australia to F.C. “Jim” and Marlene Rood.  Jim grew up in Mission Hills, Kansas and attended Shawnee Mission East High School. He graduated in 1983. Jim attended the University of Kansas and earned degrees in Psychology and Aerospace Engineering.

Jim worked as a manager in the Aerospace Engineering lab prior to his passing. Jim was passionate about music and art, his passion touched and influenced many.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Francis Carl Rood. Surviving family members include, his beloved mother, Marlene Rood, brother, David and his wife Ann, their children, Michael and Kristen; sister Jane, her husband Ray, children, Riley and Landon; brother Jon, his wife Laura, children, Hanna and Halley.
