James J. Reimbold

James J. (Jim) Reimbold, 87, Stilwell, KS, entered the gates of Heaven and rejoined his wife and best friend of 64 years, Jimmy Joy Reimbold and his son, Richard J. Reimbold.

Jim was born July 19, 1933, in Kansas City, MO to James Jerome Reimbold, Sr. and Mary Margaret (Forster) Reimbold.   He graduated from Bishop Lillis Catholic High School.   After serving in the Army, he went on to college and graduated from the University of Kansas where he received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was a lifelong KU basketball fan. After college, Jim worked for Burns and McDonald, Pittman Manufacturing Company, RO Corporation, and retired from Roderson Manufacturing Company in 2000 as Vice President of Engineering.  Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling the United States and Europe.  He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmy Joy and his son, Richard J. Reimbold.  Jim is survived by his daughter and son-in-Law, Carrie and Rick Smith; three grandchildren and their spouses: Austin and Lauren Smith, Landon and Sara Smith and Natalie and Braden Gallentine; and three great-grandchildren: Liam, Audrey and Emma Smith.

Jim was loved as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He will be greatly missed by his family, but they take comfort in knowing he is in God’s Kingdom.
