Jamie (Babington) McCormick passed away on October 8, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born on November 5, 1950 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to William and Joan Babington, both of whom predeceased her. Her brother, Todd Babington also predeceased her. Jamie graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School and received her B.A. from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jamie is survived by her husband Barry McCormick and three children: Kelli Metivier, Kim McFarland and Brandon McCormick. She is also survived by her sister Wendy Davidson and five grandchildren: Halle and Ty McFarland, Brady and Carson McCormick, and Chase Metivier.
Services will be private, however, the family will greet friends and relatives at the home between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Tuesday October 13, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Heritage of Overland Park, 10101 W 127th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213 and The Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
