JANE FULLER WITT
Jane Witt, 96, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her care facility, Aberdeen Village,
on April 30, 2016. Services will be held Thursday, May 5th, at 11:00 AM in the Village
Presbyterian Church Chapel, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208. A reception will
Follow at the church. Private family burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Village Presbyterian Church Music Ministry or Crossroads Hospice,11150 Thompson Ave. Lenexa, KS 66219.
Jane was born in Oklahoma. She lived in Liberal, Kansas most of her young life. It was there
she met the love of her life, Charley Witt, who was working for Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line
Company. They had a long and happy marriage. Jane was active in Eastern Star and Tri Psi
Sorority. She served as a Deacon at Village Church, was on the Flower Committee and sang in
the Chancel Choir for 50 years! She was also a member of the Countryside East Homes
Association Board. When she wasn't serving others, she was dancing, taking organ lessons,
cooking, sewing, working at part time jobs (until she was 80) and being a great friend to many.
Above all, she loved her family.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, 8 brothers and 1 sister. She is
survived by her daughter, Linda Thompson (Rick), her son, Jeff Witt, her 2 grandchildren, Brent
Thompson (Peggie), Kelley Hartman (Chad) and her 5 great-grandchildren, Luke, Ben, & Grace
Hartman, Torie & Rylie Thompson. All reside in the Kansas City area.
Jane lived a full and beautiful life. Her faith was strong. She brought joy to many. She will be
greatly missed.
