Janet May Alholm was born in Anderson Indiana on August 15, 1936. Janet died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 7, 2017 after a three-year battle with breast cancer and complications as it spread to her liver. Janet was an extensively recognized interior designer with a strong Kansas City connection. Her awards and published works are too vast to list. Her work ethic was legendary, often putting in long hour days. Her devotion to clients and friends will leave an unfillable hole as well in the hearts of all who knew her.
Janet leaves her husband John of 47 years; two sons Jeff (Lori) and John Todd (Brenda); nine grandchildren, Zachary, Breana (Ian), Joshua, Eli, Truman, Peter (CheeRy), Ty, Jace and Cade; her sister Jeanice James (Al). Preceding her in death were her father Willard James, son Mark, great grand-daughter Tali May and her three brothers Tom, Carl and Bob.
Services will be held at The Church of the Resurrection. Located at 135th St and Nall Ave., Leawood, KS. Starting at 10am Saturday, July 15th, 2017.
