Janet Marvin-Cree, 93, Prairie Village, passed away on February 7, 2016 from natural causes.
Janet was born on December 2, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Helen and George Marvin. She graduated from Southwest High School. She was also a student at Stanford University and the University of Kansas where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She was a lifelong active member in her sorority where she made many dear friends and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She married Robert Cree in December of 1945. She was also a member of the Village Presbyterian Church for many years.
Janet was the mother of two children, Charles George Cree of Bloomington, MN and Linda Cree Boyer of Prairie Village, KS. She was a grandmother of four; Nathaniel Cree of Minneapolis, MN, Aaron Windsor of Uvalde, TX, Colleen Dade of Visalia, CA, and Richard Boyer, Jr. of San Diego, CA. Janet was also the great grandmother of Hazel Cree, and Sierra, Chloe, and Lacey Dade.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert V. Cree.
No services were held at her request.
