Janet Haller

Janet died peacefully at Kansas City Hospice surrounded by family members. She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa to Harry and Irene Gohner, and later moved to Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1949. She married Jack Haller in 1950.  They raised six children together and also have 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.  Jan was primarily a homemaker but later worked at Ranchview Floral designing plant arrangements. She was an avid gardener and belonged to Bel-Air Heights Garden Club. Jack and Jan enjoyed golfing for many years.  They belonged to Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church since moving to Kansas in 1971.  Janet was preceded in death by husband Jack, son Kirk, sister Geraldine and her parents. She is survived by her children Randolph (Judy), Chris (Cathie), Kelly (Nick), Rick and Michael (Beckie). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18 from 10:00 -11:30am, and church service from 11:30 -12:30 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian, 9300 Nall Ave, Overland Park, KS.  A brief graveside ceremony will follow at Johnson County Funeral and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption , Mission, KS.
