Janet Elizabeth Pinkard, 58, died unexpectedly, April 7, 2013, at her home in Lenexa, KS. Born January 3, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Bob and Thelma Hruska, she is survived by her beloved children, Danny, Kevin, and Lauren; her adored granddaughter, Avery; her sister, Linda Crist and her husband Darold of Kansas City and her brother Jack Hruska and his wife Lisa of Gardner, KS.
Janet graduated from Center High School, then to Research Hospital where she graduated as an RN. She dedicated the next 25 years to nursing at St. Luke's Hospital in the ICU and then after in hemodialysis as a caring and compassionate nurse for which she is greatly remembered.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Son Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
