Mrs. Janice Baxter

Janice Kay Baxter; mother, sister and friend, departed this life Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 3rd from 6:00-8:00 p.m at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park. In addition, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 also at the Johnson County Chapel, with interment to follow.
Janice was born September 22, 1946, the youngest daughter of Joseph and Dessa Baxter, in Springfield MO. When Janice was three, the family moved to Merriam KS and she remained nearby all her life, a resident of Olathe KS since 1971.
Survivors in this life include her children, daughter Kelly Brenner of Olathe KS, son Brent Shaffer of Chicago IL; three grandchildren: Katlyn, Jonathan, and Santa Antoinette; siblings: Leroy Baxter, Barbara Davidson and Jerry Baxter; sisters-in-law: Becky Baxter, Kathy Botrous; and brother-in-law: Jack Davidson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
