Janice Elizabeth Cook

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Elizabeth (Pitchforth) Cook. Janice peacefully left our midst on August 20, 2023, in Leawood, Kansas, at the age of 65. She was born on December 4, 1957, in Bountiful, Utah. She brought warmth and love to all who knew her.

Janice leaves behind her beloved husband, Douglas Cook, who cherished her during their years of companionship. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Candice (Cook) McGinnis / Adam, and son, Casey Cook / Ethan; as well as her adored grandsons, Jackson and Quentin McGinnis.

In addition to her immediate family, Janice's memory will be treasured by her siblings Marie Thompson (Kenny), Karen
Prutzman, Donald Jr Pitchforth (Lori); her in-laws Steve Cook (Nancy), Kevin Cook (Tricia), Brian Cook (Terry), Candace Brown (Darrick), and many nieces and nephews.

Janice is predeceased by her parents, Donald Sr and Betty Pitchforth, her in-laws Gene and Vesta Cook, her brother in-law Kenny and sister in-law Nancy.

Janice will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend. Her kind nature and gentle spirit impacted the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

In this time of mourning, we find solace in the fond memories we hold dear and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

There will be a celebration of life held on October 6th.
