Janice Sue Thygerson (nee Jackson) suffered heart failure on June 2, 2008 at her home in Florissant Mo. Even after several years of failing health,she remained cheerful and enjoyed participating in her church, traveling and being with her 3 children, 8 granddaughters and husband of 54 years.
Janice was born on April 11 1935 in Overland Park KS., where she attended Shawnee Mission schools and was active in Rainbow, church and piano.
Janice met her husband Robert at Kansas State Collage in 1953. They were married Aug 20 1954 and began life together in Wichita KS., where both worked at Boeing Aircraft Co. Three children were born before moving to Florissant MO.in 1969, where Robert worked for McDonnel Douglas Aircraft and Janice was a homemaker and worked part time in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
Janice is survived by her huband Robert Dale; 3 children, Lisa (Scott) Dobson of Portland OR.,Robin (Tom) Wolf of Ferguson MO.,Mark (Rana) Thygerson of Kansas City MO. and 8 granddaughters, Angela and Rebecca Dobson, Erika, Jessica and Monica Wolf and Makayla,Alyssa and Tara Thygerson; dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
