Jason Hesler

Jason Reed Hesler, 42, passed away on June 25th, 2020 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jason was born on October 28th, 1977 in Kansas City, MO to James and Barbara Hesler.  Throughout his youth, he spent many years on the baseball fields with his buddies and his Dad in the dugout.  When he wasn’t spending time with his friends, you could find him fishing with his grandpa, spending summer vacations with his cousins in Wisconsin, or visiting his grandparents in Florida and Arizona.  Jason graduated from Shawnee Mission South in 1996 and went on to graduate from Kansas State University.  He worked both in sales and construction.  Jason is remembered by his family and friends as a man of strong faith, a kind and helpful heart and a great smile.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Frances Reed; paternal grandfather, James Hesler, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Patricia and Bill May.

Jason is survived by his parents, James and Barbara Hesler; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Darrell Brown; his nephews, Brody, Colton and Weston; his grandmother, Ingrid Hesler; his aunts and uncles, Nancy and Randy Pozin, Jerry and Judy Reed, Julie and Royal Dellinger, Joan Hesler and Stephanie Maguire; his cousins, Amy, Suzy, Matt, Danny, Nathaniel, Kristen, Becky, Blythe and Reagan; his beloved puppy, Lacey and many, many, many friends.

A private memorial service will be held for family members on July 13th.  An option to stream the memorial service is available for family and friends to view from the comfort and safety of their home.  A link for the service will be shared once it is available.
