Jean Davis

Mary Jean Davis, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas went to be with our Lord and Savior in heaven and the love of her life; Roy, on December 10, 2018.  She is survived by her two sons Michael Floyd (Lynn) of Lenexa, KS and James Edward (Amber) of Joplin, MO and her four beloved grandchildren Bradley (Sarah), Paige, Harrison, and Zachary.  She is also survived by her sister Catherine Garton (Sid) of Tyler, TX; Joe Ellison (Dee) of Detroit, TX and Floyd Ellison of Tyler, TX.  She was preceded in death by her spouse Frankie LeRoy (Roy) Davis and her parents Catherine and Sam Ellison.

Jean was born in 1937 and graduated from East Texas State University where she met the love of her life Roy.  Together they made a home and raised two boys while teaching them the principles of honor, dignity, truth, faith, and determination.  Jean left behind many friends and family who will think of her fondly and remember her always.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14th at Johnson County Funeral Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66210 where the family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:30.  Interment and a graveside service will follow at Longview Cemetery at 12700 South Raytown Road, Kansas City, MO 64149 at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her honor to Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 West 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
