Mrs. Jean L. Barker

Jean L. Barker, 82, Overland Park passed away May 3, 2010. A visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M. Entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to Overland Park Lutheran Church, 7810 W. 79th St, Overland Park, KS 66204.
Jean was born February 23, 1928 in Bend, Oregon. She married Charles J. Barker on July 6, 1946. She was a devoted and loving wife for 64 years. Jean’s children will miss her strength and devotion and her absence will be felt by all.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; three children, Thomas (Brenda) Barker, Linda (Fred) Kemp, and Victoria Barker; 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
