Jean B. McGrath, 86, formerly of Overland Park, passed away on January 12, 2013. She was born January 29, 1926 in Windsor, VT to Merle and Georgia Barber. Jean worked for IBM and Zurich Insurance as an underwriter until her retirement. After the passing of her husband, Bob, she moved to St. Charles, MO to be with her daughter Janice and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bob.
Jean is survived by her daughter; Janice Homar and her husband, Gary of Defiance, MO; grandchildren; Kyle T. Homar, Andrew G. Homar (Valerie Candillo) and Kimberly M. Homar (Patrick Kellermann); great grandchildren; Madeline Homar, Kaelen Homar and Kendall Homar.
A visitation will be held Wed. January 16, 2013 at 1PM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
