Jeanette Rasmussen

Jeanette Rodine (Oetting) Rasmussen, 92, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away peacefully May 20, 2020. Jeanette was born August 22, 1927 in Concordia, Missouri to Henry J. Oetting and Liese (Fricke) Oetting. She married Robert Rasmussen June 9, 1951. Together they started Rasmussen Building Company, a successful small business for more than 40 years. Jeanette was a life-long Lutheran. She enjoyed music, had an eye for fashion and natural talent for creating beautiful home interiors. Jeanette loved life, especially spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; 6 sisters, and 1 brother. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her daughter Rita and her husband Carl Rubick, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Due to the current COVID situation, a celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Kansas City Hospice Foundation, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Suite 200, KCMO, or a charity of choice.
