Mrs. Jeannine Francis

Jeannine Ann Francis, 76, Prairie Village, Kansas died October 26, 2007 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Fredis and Marcus McQuillen. Jeannine was born November 12, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School in 1948 and the College of Saint Teresa in 1952. Jeannine worked for Midwest Research Institute as a mathematician. She was co-owner, along with her husband, Don, of John Francis Overland Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas. Jeannine and her family ran the successful restaurant where most Overland Park residents dined from 1958 to 1988.
Jeannine is survived by her loving husband, Don, after 53 years of marriage, four children: Donna Shelton, Ph.D. and her husband, Richard, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Cathy Sullivan of Prairie Village, Kansas; John Francis and wife Kim of Shawnee, Kansas; Jim Francis and wife Jane of Stanley, Kansas; and four grandchildren: Christina Sauvan; Ryan Sullivan; Ally Francis and A.J. Francis.
Jeannine will be missed by cherished family members and friends.
Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 followed immediately by a Graveside Service at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel at 11200 Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas.
