Jeannine Marie Pierce, age 79, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008 at The Forum of Overland Park.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27th at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Jean was a very active volunteer. She was involved with Girl Scouts, Training School for Special Needs Children, Headstart, Parent Teachers Association, The Learning Center of Special Children, KEYS, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Heart of America United Way, Johnson county Mental Health Center, CASA/Johnson County, Johnson County Coalition for the Prevention of Child Abuse, Sunflower House, Volunteer Center of Johnson County, and RSVP Advisory Board.
Survivors include her 3 children, Sherry, Robin, and Gary; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Arrangements, D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County, 913-451-1860.
