Jeffrey William Moehlenhoff, 48, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away December 28, 2010, at the University of Kansas Medical Center after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5th, at 11 a.m., at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Welsey Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 6th, at 1 p.m., at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Jeff was born April 9, 1962, to John and Alice (Cunningham) Moehlenhoff in Plainview, Nebraska. He grew up in Creighton, Nebraska, where he graduated valedictorian of his senior class and later attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Fredrickson May 4, 1991, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jeff was employed by Rust-Oleum Corporation for over eleven years, serving a National Sales Manager at the time of his death. He also was a long-time employee of Diamond Vogel Paints and Baker Hardware in Lincoln.
Jeff was a man of deep faith and courage and was respected by many. He was a devout paint and hardware guy and an avid NASCAR and Sprint Car fan. Most of all, he was the best dad and husband and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda; children, Emma and Grant, at home; and daughter, Laura, and husband, Chris, and two grandchildren, Reagan and Ava; parents, John and Alice Moehlenhoff; and brother, John (Lisa) Moehlenhoff; nephews, Austin and Jordan; niece, Ashtyn. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and grandparents, William and Henrietta Moehlenhoff, and William and Nina Cunningham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeff's honor may be sent in care of the family.
