Jennie Elizabeth Doran, 94, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on November 11, 2015 at the Missouri Veterans Home. She was born December 8, 1920, in Youngstown, Ohio to Mary and Tom Witkey.
Jennie passed away peacefully on November 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family who prayerfully assisted her on her journey to heaven to join her devoted husband Bernie. Bernie has been waiting for her arrival for over 3 years. Her beautiful daughter, Susan Clare, who passed away in 2009 will be overjoyed to see her sweet mother again.
Jennie passed away on Veterans Day during the Veterans Day Ceremony at the Missouri Veterans Home-Warrensburg; she was an Army Nurse. She and Bernie met and married in India in 1945 during WWII.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Mary Stang (Edward), and Jean Heavey (Chris); 8 grandchildren, Heather, Eddie, Christy, Nichole, Jenene, Shannon, Brooke, and Kelly; 5 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Chloe, Clarabella, Emmeline, and Avery.
The family wishes to thank the Missouri Veterans Home-Warrensburg for the sincere, loving care that was provided for Jennie.
Jennie is certainly singing with a choir of angels now as she loved to do on earth.
