Jennifer Anne Lundgren, 30, Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Luke’s on the Plaza. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM, Friday, June 26 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd St, Overland Park. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation for friends and family will be 6:30-8:30 pm, Thursday, June 25 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation, 4225 Baltimore Ave., KCMO 64111. (Attn: Brain & Stroke Institute)
Jen was born July 9, 1978 in St. Cloud, MN to T. Kent & Jean Lundgren. In 1996, she graduated from Blue Valley Northwest. She continued her education at the University of Kansas, where she graduated from the School of Journalism in 2000 with the degree of Business Communications. Jen was employed by PDI medical supply company. Her vibrant personality and outlook in life touched both friends and family. She gave timelessly to the many passions and joys in her life: running, scrapbooking, reading, spending time with family and friends, including her beloved dachshund, Charlie. She was a compassionate friend to all she met.
She was preceded in death by her father, T. Kent Lundgren; grandfather, Duane Lundgren and grandmother, Bessie Johnson.
Survivors include her mother, Jean Lundgren; brother, Erik (Tami) Lundgren; sister, Julie (Brian) Rohlena; grandmother, Edna Lundgren; aunts, Kathe Lundgren, Kristin Lundgren; niece, Isabella Lundgren; nephews, Nate and J.T. Lundgren; cousins and many, many colleagues, friends and loved ones.
