Mrs. Jennifer Williams

December 2, 1954 — November 1, 2008

Jennifer Leu Williams, 53, Leawood, Kansas, passed away November 1, 2008, at Menorah Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Jenny was born in New York state, December 2, 1954 and as a child enjoyed traveling the world as an "Army brat". She was a graduate of Drake University, Des Moines. After starting her career with the first ever Residence Inn in Wichita, Kansas, she devoted the majority of her professional life to sales management and marketing for the hospitality and hotel industry. She had been married since 2005 to Ted Williams, a life long area resident. Jenny enjoyed reading novels, traveling for pleasure, scuba diving, and spending time at their vacation home on Table Rock Lake. Jenny had a sharp, dry sense of humor and could always make people smile and laugh. Easy going and approachable, Jenny easily made new friends and always had time for others. She will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Ted Williams; her siblings, Chris Leu, Michael Leu, Katherine Leu, and Jon Leu; and by nephews, Steven Leu and Jeffery Leu. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Leu; her parents, Col. Bernard J. and Patricia N. Leu; and her beloved canine companion of fourteen years, Lady.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5th, followed by a celebration of her life at 6:00 p.m. at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue. Cremation with scattering to take place at Table Rock Lake. Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at www.dwnewcomers.com. Jenny adopted Lady from Animal Haven in Shawnee, Kansas. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions in Jenny's name be made to Animal Haven or Wayside Waifs.
