Jenny Leigh Faircloth, age 45 left us on November 21, 2023 after a short illness to join her forever love, Jan Michael Faircloth. Jenny was born November 23, 1977 and raised and loved dearly by her parents, John and Jean Castoe.
Jan and Jenny were married on November 30, 2007 in Kansas City. Born to this union was Nelson Henry Faircloth and who remains treasured by Jan's and Jenny's survivors. They followed the blues scene in Kansas City until Jan's passing in 2020. Jenny was known for her strength and fortitude, for her keen mind and care for those ill, but mostly for her love of family and friends.
Jenny began her education after graduation from Garden City High School by first attending Garden City Community College and the University Of Northern Colorado studing music. She changed her area of study to medicine and moved to the Kansas City area and enrolled at the University of Missouri Kansas City where she earned the designation as Family Nurse Practitioner by receiving a Master of Science in Nursing at the same time working at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Minute Clinic and in 2019 became Senior Practice Manager. Jenny loved her job and was a caring soul but her love for family and large circle of friends, both in the music industry and in the medical field was evident by the number of people present at her passing.
Jenny is survived by her mom and dad and by her son, Nelson; and by her brother Chris and his wife Stacy and sons, Keeton and Cru of Garden City. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles who loved her dearly as well as close cousins and a multitude of close friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband; grandparents, Henry and Flora Lee Walton, Leroy and Irene Wentling, and Bob and Alice Castoe.
Celebration of Life Services will be at Noon on Monday, November 27th at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. and graveside services immediately following. Jenny will be laid to rest beside her beloved Jan.
