Jessie Ladewig

Jessie Marie Ladewig passed away January 1, 2018. She was a former Employee of the Year at St. Luke’s Hospital, also was named Volunteer of the Year for post-retirement service. Before St. Luke’s, she served as director of public relations for Leawood National Bank. She was active in Village Church, served on the executive board of Kansas City Young Matrons, volunteered for the Greater Kansas City United Fund and the Shawnee Mission Area Council of the PTA. She was a Girl Scout leader and served on the Mid Continent Council’s Board of Directors. She also was a swim team mom, cheerleader mom, Pompon Squad mom, and drill team mom. She was born to Harry and Marie Lorenz in Milwaukee and married Fred K. Ladewig in 1943.

She had five children:  Mary-Lane Kamberg, Ann Nelson, Brock Ladewig, Amy Phillips, and Skipper Ladewig, along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation.
