Jill Kay (Meyer) Johnson, 60, of Overland Park, KS passed away on August 1, 2012, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born to Marvin and Babe Meyer in Pender, NE. On August 31, 1974, Jill married her best friend, Royal Johnson. After living for two years in Texas, they settled in Overland Park.
Jill was many things to many people, a devoted and loving wife, a beloved sister, a treasured aunt, a loyal friend and a consummate professional. She was dedicated to treating people without judgment and always with dignity.
She is survived by her husband, Royal; sisters Sandi Fabry of Lincoln, NE and Bev (Joe) Hartz of Neligh, NE, along with many nieces and nephews. Jill is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers-in-law Glen Fabry and Merle Johnson.
Celebration of Life is at 2:30 PM, Sunday August 5, 2012 at First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 D St., Lincoln, NE, visitation 1:30 at the church. Burial will be Monday, August 6, 2012, 9AM, Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.
Memorials may be designated to Kansas City Hospice or the family.
