Joan M. Boyd, 64 of Olathe, KS passes away Sunday, February 24th at Manor Care Health Systems from Alzheimer ?s disease.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the chapel. Burial at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Blackbob, Olathe, KS.
Mrs. Boyd was born January 31, 1944 in Centralia KS. She was married to Charles Boyd on October 20, 1974 and resided in Olathe. Joan worked in the family business doing Account?s Payable and Receiving. In 1990, she primarily operated the bowling business, until the onset of Alzheimer?s in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Tanking of Seneca, KS. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Charles Boyd of the home; brother, Lenard Tanking, Centralia, KS; sister, Patricia Dollinghouse, Seneca, KS and many other family members.
