Mrs. JoAnn Rardin Large
June 19, 1931 — May 17, 2010
JoAnn Large, 78, Overland Park, Kansas passed away May 17, 2010. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., also at the chapel. Entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. The family suggests contributions be made to Animal Haven, 9800 W. 67th St., Merriam, KS 66203. JoAnn was born June 19, 1931 in Pleasanton, Kansas to Mabel and Louis Rardin. She was an avid Chiefs fan and enjoyed bowling in her spare time. She was a member of the Vantasia Van Club for over 30 years. She had a kind heart for strayed animals and especially her puppy, Brandy.
May 3rd she celebrated her 41st anniversary with her husband, Bob.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Walter J. Wayne who passed away in 1963.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Nancy (Dave) Knight, Larry (Carrie) Wayne, Jerry (Karen) Wayne; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Louis Rardin Jr. and Ron (Nancy) Rardin; and many nieces and nephews.
