Joel Howard Fleschman, 45, Allen, Texas, formerly of Overland Park, Kan., passed away August 16, 2008. He was involved in a fatal accident caused by a drunk driver on Hwy. 75 in Richardson, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Joel was born Nov. 21, 1962, in Kansas City. He was a 1981 graduate of Center High School. His greatest love was his cherished daughters. He also had a passion for cars, clothing, and dancing. Joel will be remembered for his humorous wit, his big heart, and compassion for his family, friends, and faith.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Kline; and step-sister, Tracy (Whipple) Foster. Survivors include his daughters, Aryssa and Alexa and their mother, Mavis Fleschman of Allen; mother, Connie Kline of Overland Park; father and step- mother, Jerry and Margaret Fleschman of Prairie Village, Kan.; sister and her husband, Mindy and Rick Weiser and their daughters, Chelsea and Brooke of Overland Park; brother, Mike Fleschman of Overland Park; and many other family and friends.
