John Maurice Brownlee J. Maurice Brownlee, born November 28, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO, died at age 93 on June 4, 2018. Maurice served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a flight instructor and troop carrier pilot in Burma and China. After the war, he graduated from KU with a degree in Business Administration. While there, he met and married Jeanne Perdue, his late wife of 66 years. Maurice spent his career in the wholesale electric industry, retiring in 1993 from Missouri Valley Electric. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Maura) Brownlee and Bruce (Robin) Brownlee; daughter, Diane (Paul) Ginther; and grandchildren, Kevin (Mel) Ginther and Brian (Jesicca) Ginther. He loved bowling, sudoku, golf, and vacationing in Hawaii. Maurice and Jeanne were members of Country Club Christian Church since 1949 and volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital since 1994. Visitation (1 pm) and Memorial Service (2 pm) on Saturday, June 9 at Country Club Christian Church Combs Chapel, 6101 Ward Parkway, KCMO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Country Club Christian Church or St. Luke's Hospital Foundation.
