John "Jack" J. Conway, 89, Overland Park, KS passed away December 9, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 12, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. The family will receive friends before the service at 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to CHARM (Children's Help And Rehabilitation Motivation), Telecom Pioneers, P.O. Box 380014, Kansas City, MO 64138.
The Dude was wickedly awesome and gave back at every opportunity and every level, he got it! No one could ask for a better husband, father, brother, grandfather or friend.
Mr. Conway was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Lindy.
He is survived by his son, John F. Conway; his daughter, Jana Kay Wood and her husband, Don; three grandsons, Chris and Zach Conway and Connor Wood; two step-grandsons, Nic and Kris Wood; one great-step-granddaughter, Lorelei; two brothers, William and Richard; four sisters, Cecelia, Marie, Joan and Grace; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Hicks; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
