John Erwin

John Edward Erwin, Sr, 84 of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on October 28, 2016.  Visitation will be from 10-11am Thursday November 3rd at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road,  with Mass Following at 11:00am.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thalia M. Erwin, his 5 children:  Mary Erwin, Ann Erwin (Andy Hull), John Erwin Jr (Denise Erwin), Tricia Erwin (Andy Hoffman), Teresa Thomas (Mark Januszewski), and 11 grandchildren:  Kelsey, Craig, and David Erwin, Brendan, Naomi and Alec Hoffman, Kylie and Kennedy Thomas, and Marshall, Madison and Miranda Januszewski.  He is originally from Quincy, Massachusetts, and graduated from Boston College in 1953.  He had a successful career as an accountant.  He was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army.  He was a member of Leawood Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, and a member of Cure of Ars parish.  The family suggest contributions to the American Heart Association, 6800 93rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212.
