John David Farrall, aged 45, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on March 10, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1978, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. John was a beloved son of Faylene and Jack Farrall, a cherished brother of Frank Farrall and Allison Halterman, and a dear brother-in-law to Helen Farrall and Blake Halterman.
John was known for his thoughtful and selfless nature, his adventurous spirit, mischievous sense of humor, gregarious personality, and curious mind. He was deeply spiritual and always sought new experiences in life.
John attended Shawnee Mission South high school, where he was a standout in track and a football star, and later received degrees at the University of Kansas and Universal Technical Institute, Orlando. He proudly served in the Marine Corps.
He found solace and community at the Overland Park Church of Christ and Southpoint Church of Christ. In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and was passionate about working on landscaping and mechanical projects.
A service to honor and remember John will be held at Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2pm. Contributions in his memory can be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
