John Ficcadenti

John Joseph Ficcadenti, 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 23, 2019.

John was born to Italian parents and accomplished much during his 88 years.  He was married to the love of his life, Mary, for almost 39 years who had the honor of calling him “My Love”.

He coached boys baseball and was “Talking Wires” in the “Mic O Say” Tribe, He learned to fly his Cherokee 140 plane, like traveling, camping and dancing.  He retired from AT & T after 31 years.  He held a 50 year membership in Mt. Washington Lodge 614 in Independence.  He attended De La Salle High School and sadly was not able to celebrate his 70 year class reunion this past April.

John was a Husband, Father, and wonderful Papa.  He was kind, caring, considerate, loving, patient and thoughtful.  He bravely fought a brain tumor in 1997 and melanoma May 2018 – 2019.  On May 23 with Mary by his side, and their goodbyes said, John entered into his heavenly rest with God.

He is survived by his wife Mary, sons: Joe (Stephanie) Ficcadenti of Oregon, grandsons; Chad and Collin and 4 great grandchildren, Dwane Ficcadenti (Kathy), granddaughter, Stephanie and Grandson, Sam.  Debbie Fick, Dennis (Vicki) Ogg, Duane (Starla) Ogg, Beth (Roy) Keyes. 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
