John G. Sulley passed away suddenly Sunday morning, June 5, 2011 surrounded by his family. John experienced complications from COPD. He was born 12-12-42 to Jack & Gwen Sulley and attended Shawnee Mission North High School & The University of Kansas. For 31 years, he worked for Deluxe Corp retiring in 1998. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Cindy & children John C. Sulley, Sherry & Jeremy Kile, Angela Behrend, Cathy & Lee Messinger, and newborn granddaughter Abigail Lynn Messinger. Also mother Gwen, sister, Nancy, brother Bill & wife Kathie, father-in-law Frank Koshko, and his nieces and nephews.
After retiring, John & Cindy traveled the USA. John battled his COPD bravely & always with a smile. He loved the KU Jayhawks & Molly his cat and when healthy, golf & bowling. He was an avid reader & bridge player. A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, also at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. Entombment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
