John H.W. Haig, 71, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, at 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kan. A visitation will begin an hour prior to service times in the chapel. A private family inurnment will take place in Denver, Colo., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, Kan.
John was born in Denver, Colo., on April 17, 1937. He was a chemical and petroleum engineer. Survivors include his wife, Sue Haig; two children; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a sister.
