John L. Hansen, 81, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri.
John was born August 17, 1926, in Bloomfield, CT, the son of Edward and Gertrude Hansen. John was founder of the Hansen Dental Laboratory in 1952; he was past president of the Missouri State Dental Laboratory Association, Kansas State Dental Laboratory Association, and of the Midwest Dental Laboratory Association. He was a member of the Dental Laboratory Conference and served on the board of directors. He was an army veteran of WWII. John was also a member of Cure' of Ars Catholic Church.
John was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, William J. Hansen of Mesa, AZ, Howard J. Hansen of Mexico, NY, and Donald J. Hansen of Elmyra, NY. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Doris A. Hansen, of the home; one son, Stephen C. Hansen of Shawnee, KS; three daughters, Jackie A. Pellow of Kansas City, MO, Diana J. Aulgur of Raytown, MO, and Nancy H. Jones of Mission Hills, KS; brothers, Edward Hansen of Farmington, NY, Thomas Hansen of Afton, OK, and Raymond Hansen of Seebring, FL; 12 grandchildren; 8 stepgrandchildren; and 7 greatgrandchildren.
Memorial services will be held, 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 7th, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Private family interment. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
